Emo hair and makeup please help me?!?

i really need help, okay ive got curly hair which really suks, im brunette and i got red highlights. My hair is shoulder length and i need some tips on how i could cut it and it wont go all crazy, cuz if i cut it too short and i dont straighten it, it will usually go crazy, and i need some tips on makeup. Thank u every1 for helping me.

Lets talk about hair first....


If you're wanting the typical emo cut then, yes, you'll have to straighten your hair because the layers wont show up right.

Now time for makeup.





I use MAC liquid eyeliner, and Lancome liquid eyeliner.


It gives you that whole dramatic cat eye look.





And I also suggest you buy some dark eyeshadow (preferablly not black, but a dark gray).

You know what? Hair care companies make a fortune telling people that they need to change their hair. People look best letting their hair go the way nature intended it to go. Seriously. Let your hair go curly. Curly is very sensuous. People want to feel it and play with it.





As for makeup less really is better. Stay with a pale face and pick either your eyes or mouth to emphasize but not both.





If you go with your mouth, make it as red as you can get. Don't outline it or try to improve on nature. Just make it red, red, red.





If it's your eyes, lightly do your lids in gray, a little under your lower lashes and then tons of black mascara. The object is to make your eyes huge dark pools of drama in your face so that someone looking at you is drawn into them like a black hole.





The biggest mistake people make is to over-use the makeup. People should see you not the makeup. You can test this by putting your makeup on and turning away from the mirror for a minute. When you turn back quickly, what's the first thing you notice on your face? Is it your whole face or your makeup? If it's the makeup, you have too much on.
the people that are saying you need to straighten your hair are wrong, ive seen plenty of ';scene'; girls with curly hair, and in my opinion curly hair looks good shorter (like shoulder length) because it has more volume. when your hair is damp rub a frizz cream on it then get gel all over hair and start ';scrunching'; lightly. as for makeup dont try to be goth just do a ';kind of'; thick line of eyeliner on bottom and top and then get a nice eyeshadow you like then use mascara. good luck!

For Hair::


Shoulder length is a really good length.


you can almost do anything with that length of hair.





Straighten it.


Get long side bangs.


You can even put little black streaks put in your hair.


One thick black streak would be cute/emo.

the hair idk if i could help with unless u just straighten it everyday, but the makeup on the other hand im ok at. so im emoish (according to ppl at my school) and i like the colors black and red. i got red eyeshadow, red eyeliner, and black eyeliner. first, put the black eyeliner on really thick on the bottom....(you can do the top too the same way but it looks better without it in my opinion)...and then i take either a q-tip or a small angled brush and put it in the red eyeshadow and put it all on my top lid, then i take the outer edges of my eye and take that eyeshadow up to my eyebrows to make me look kinda evil lol. then if u want more of the color (red in this case) u take that color eyeliner and put a little unser the black on ur bottom lid. remember this can be any color u want but u kinda have to have black in it.
well im a prep and i have emo friends with pin straight hair.....u cant have curly hair when ur emo so straighten it as for the makeup...





~ choose your eyeshadow color. my friends usualy use bright colors like hot pink, lime green, or turquoise, but any color will do really


~so after you've put your eye primer both on your lid and on your lash line under your eye you use a baby angled eyeshadow brush to put your eyeshadow all around your eye


~next put on black eyeliner. Start on the inside of your eye with a thin line, getting thicker as you reach the outside corner (this applies to both the top and the bottom) If you want you can draw a line or design in the outside corner of your eye


~Next put black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes (if you want curl them before you put on the mascara, because curling them after you put on mascara can damage them)


~And there you go emo makeup
just draw red lines on ur wrists! and eyeliner and eye shadow really heavy
