Here's what you need:


-black eyeliner, duh


-vaseline


-dark grey, black and brown eyeshadows


-black mascara


-foundation to smooth out your face


-loose powder to set all this





Basically, you just need to set your face and do a really heavy eye. To do this, first line your rims and inner eyelids with the black mascara. Do a really hard, thin line.





Next, blend your dark eyeshadow colors to your liking over your lid. I'd start with a wash of grey and add a black-ish hues and browns in the crease.





If you want to curl your lashes, do it now, because once you get the Vaseline on here in the next step, you won't be able to.





Once you think you have this set, put some Vaseline on the tips of your index finger. Spread this out over the eyeshadow and liner. This will give you that ';smeary'; emo effect.





Set with lots of mascara.





Brush some loose powder over your eyes to set this all.





Don't do any blush or big lip colors. Stick with some Cherry chapstick if you must.

Well, I'm not sure what to tell you other than, that there's a BIG HUGE GAP Between Goth and Emo... Goth is all the dark make up n ****... Emo really, is just a depressed goth, kinda dressing skater/punk/grunge mix... I myself would say not to wear any make-up b/c if you're sad and depressed (You're emo...whatever...) then you wouldn't have any make-up on... But Just Remember, you're EMO N-O-T GOTH!

The Emo look is hard to difine. I mean, I am not Emo myself. Many people I know might consider themselfs Emo though. They do not wear all black. They wear a mixture of clothing. Jeans, sure, sweat shirts, a given, Converses? A must. Ties, and Arm Warmers? Maybe. Skulls and Crossbones? Sometimes. Black clothing? Only when nessacary.


The make-up they wear is a bit different then you might think. They do not wear it heavely. Just a little bit. Some black mascara and black eye liner? I wear that all the time, and so do they. Dark Eye shadow? It depends on what color your eyes are. If you have light eyes, you'll wear darker shadow, but not pitch black. No one wants to look like they just got punched by someone. Pale face? Sure why not. Jet black hair? Have fun.


Being Emo isn't a style. It's a lable. Sorry, this really doesn't answer your question. People you may consider Emo, may consider themselfs Punk, or Skater. Does it matter though? Don't be what people consider ';Emo'; just because you think it's cool. Those people will take offense to that.
Loads of dark make-up. I agree with a lot of other people..except for the girl who cussed at you.. ^_^ Dark Black mascara,eyeliner (hard black) smoky eyes purple/black/grey/(eyeshadow) and black rim glasses,and emo clothes. OH! And also last year in eighth grade I wore black,mascara, a lot of black eyeliner, and red eyeshadow..so yeah I got called emo/goth. So yeah good luck and have fun!
all you do is put on all your makeup really dark and maybe put some of your hair in your face then youll look emo

Bright unblended eyeshadow and either extend it past your eyelid area or use it all the way around the eye then black eye-liner and false eye-lashes. A compact one shade too light for your skin. and finish with a dark lipstick, matte not shiny.
