ask your grandparents what kind of things your parents experimented with while young, it will give you some insight on their willingness to bend their rules a little bit, have a grown up conversation with them about it, telling them you'd like to experiment with EMO MAKE-UP and set like a timeline to sit down and discuss it after you try it for a few days or weeks...by asking them to keep an open mind you may get them to follow along.
Tell them politely that it is just makeup. You're not tatooing yourself..you can take it off whenever you need to. And you won't wear it for special occassions or anything.





But really, honestly think before you do it, okay? 'Emo' makeup is fine with me, but it's just so unflattering to someone with a pretty face. It doesn't look nice on people.
You need to first explain to your family why you feel the need to put make up on: you're friends wear it? is it provoke them? do you feel insecure? or you simply like the style?


I know parents can sometimes be overbearing and control freaks but trust me if you sit them down and have a conversation with them... not a shout fight.. but a serious convo they will appreciate you and value your decision since you were willing to be mature towards this subject.





I know it sounds crazy and too simple but rebelling will just get you in trouble and make ur parents stricter and make you crazy!! Listen to me.. I know!!

And do it lightly first then go darker after a while, or just do it when you are out your house. This girl who I used to attend school with, her step dad didn't like her wearing make up so she would do it in school and take it off at the bottom of her street.

hahaha no umm...don't do that! seriously. natural makeup is SOOO much prettier. 'emo' makeup isn't flattering on anyone and is too much too look at. listen to your parents on this one, they usually do know best :)

when i first started to use make up, my parents didn't like it. keep doing it until they understand that they really cant do anything about their kid growing up and choosing and emo path.
As long as it's not permanent, no real biggie; it's your choice to look like that in public. Strike a deal; don't wear it at family gatherings and if your grades start slipping, then the make-up goes.
The way things usually work:


-You do something that annoys your parents


-They get annoyed


-You keep doing it just to annoy them (for attention, maybe?)





So, basically, you just do it.
its you dont let ur parents tell you what to do just do it till they are okay wit it! you need to tell them that they can shove it up their rear end and deal with it

Just wear it around the house, and then go outside of the house with it.


By then, they'll be used to it ;D

If you are trying to be unique or something, well then do something else.
Emo style makeup may look good on a professional entertainer but on an everyday person it looks ridiculous.

tell your parents that makeup is cheaper than therapy.
